The Hill
The portion of the
University of Tennessee
shown in this aerial photograph is called "The Hill." The
Tennessee River, which forms Fort Loudon Lake
near Knoxville, lies in the background. These
buildings house most of the science departments, including
Biology,
Chemistry,
Computer Science,
Geology,
Geography,
Mathematics, and
Physics. The prominent building
in the foreground is
Ayers Hall,
a famous Knoxville landmark. A new Science and Engineering
Research Facility was built after this photo was taken.
